Checking the Discontinued Part 

  1. Call up the transaction as follows:

    From the MRP node, choose Evaluations ® Stock/Requirements List

  3. Enter the following data:

  6. The effective-out date is displayed on a separate line.

    The dependent requirement generated by the assembly 400-100 (originally 37 pieces) clears the stock without creating a purchase order. The remaining requirement (27 pieces) is redirected to the follow-up material 400-111.

    Exception message "57" reads "Disc. matl. Partly replaced by follow-up."

    Now check the follow-up material.

  10. You can see that a planned order has been created for the remaining 27 pieces. The dependent requirement for the second planned independent requirement is displayed only for this material.

    Now check the higher-level assembly.

  11. Enter the following data:

  13. Choose .
  14. Position the cursor on the first planned order (PlOrd.) created by MRP:
  15. Choose .
  16. Choose Components.
  17. Check the quantities of materials 400-110 and 400-111.

  18. Repeat steps 9 and 10 for the second planned order.
  19. Choose until the overview tree appears.
