Additional Process Information 

In this process, the kanban materials are used at the production lines for automobile production. This means that the relevant work centers at these lines trigger signals on an individual basis when necessary, which then initiates the replenishment process.

  1. Kanban materials

    2. The kanban materials are assigned to one storage location. In Customizing, it is specified that the materials at this storage location are excluded from requirements planning.

  2. Supply area

    3. Two supply areas have been created. The relevant storage location is assigned to these supply areas in Customizing.

  3. Control cycle

The control cycle determines the number of kanbans and the units per plant, supply area, and material. In addition, it defines the purchasing or production data for a replenishment strategy.
