WM: Inventory using Zero Stock Check

Description

Prior to Release 3.0, it was possible to activate the zero stock check inventory method (defined in the Inventory section of the storage type record) only when zero stock check was switched on (defined in the Stock removal control section of the storage type record). This created the situation in which inventory was taken for the storage bins a maximum of once per year, but it also meant that the bins had to be checked each time they became empty.

Now it is possible to activate continuous inventory with zero stock check without activating the Zero stock check field (in the Stock removal section of the storage type record). This means that you do not have to check the storage bin each time it becomes empty. Instead, the storage bin is checked only the first time it becomes empty after continuous inventory has been activated.

Change system parameters in customizing

The previously unallowed combination of an unselected Zero stock check field (in the Stock removal section of the storage type record) using the continuous inventory with zero stock check is now allowed.

To make changes to the storage type record, see "Dfine inventory method for each storage type" under "Actions / Inventory" in the Warehouse Management Implementation Guide.
