Commitment Item Selection During Master Data Maintenance

Description

In earlier releases, the hierarchy created up to now was displayed when you maintained the commitment item hierarchy using the hierarchy graphic. As of Release 3.0, it is possible to choose to maintain only particular subhierarchies. Transparency is thus improved when you are maintaining especially large hierarchies.

Changes in procedure

The following options are available for processing subhierarchies:

If you want to process several subhierarchies or if you do not know any actual commitment items for entering in the Top item field, you can choose a commitment item with the help of the F4 function.

The procedure for this is as follows: First all roots of the overall hierarchy are displayed. This includes all account assignment items not subdivided hierarchically. You can now expand a subhierarchy. Then all commitment items of the next hierarchy level are displayed for further selection. Proceed in the same way until you reach the subhierarchy you want to edit. At the same time, you can also choose one or several account assignment items which are then displayed for processing, in addition to the selected subhierarchy, in the graphic editor.

You can only explode one of the subhierarchies offered for selection, by double-clicking on the "+" field. If you want to process two or more, you must mark these now, so that you can explode them in the next selection.

To process the whole hierarchy, press Enter without entering a commitment item.
