Creating and Deleting Manual Assignments 

Use

On the Manual assignment screen in BOM transfer, you can manually perform more assignments or change the existing assignments.

On the left-hand side of the list you see all the BOM items that could not be automatically assigned. By choosing view you can switch between:

On the right-hand side you see all the network activities in the project. These activities can be in several networks.

Prerequisite

You have executed the BOM transfer assignment program.

Manually Assigning Components

  1. Select one or more BOM items.
  2. Select the network activity to which you want to assign the BOM item(s).
  3. Choose .
  4. BOM items that have been assigned are no longer displayed.

  5. Repeat steps 1 to 3 for all the other items that you want to assign.
  6. Choose .
  7. A dialog box appears.

  8. Confirm that you want to update the assignments with Yes.

Deleting Existing Assignments

  1. To access the overview of all assignments, choose Results.

The system displays a list of all the previous assignments containing all the BOM items that have been automatically or manually assigned.

  1. If you want to delete an assignment, select the relevant BOM item and choose .

The item will then appear in the list of components that can be manually assigned.

Displaying the Activity and BOM Item Overviews

  1. Call up the list of results by choosing Results.
  2. Choose either Network activities or BOM items.

The overview of either the network activities or BOM items appears together with the reference points.

You can switch between the list of results, the Manual assignment screen and the overview of the network activities and BOM item as often as you like.

Confirming Assignments

To confirm the new or changed assignments, save your data.

If you have not predefined priorities in inventory management , the system will display a dialog box where you can choose the appropriate stock.

Result

The BOM items are assigned to the network activities and if applicable the corresponding (preliminary) requirements are generated.
