Printing with Microsoft Word for Windows
Description
The following function enhancements were made for printing with MS
WinWord:
1. As of 3.0, you can transfer graphics
(presentation graphics and statistics graphics) in the report portfolio to
WinWord.
After the function call, you first get to dialog boxes in which you can make
different settings. As of 3.0, you can store these settings. If you call the
function 'Print' for the second time for the same object, for example, for the
same user group, you can reuse the settings you made during first call.
2. The outline of the WinWord document in
chapters was so far generally copied from the hierarchical structure of the
report portfolio. So far, you could not make your own classification into
chapters for the printout. As of 3.0, you can sort the chapters or deactivate
them for the printout. This function works hierarchically. If you deactivate a
report class, all object components of this report class are automatically
deactivated as well.
3. For definition reports, more expressive
descriptions are used as default values for the individual report pages, for
example, 'Drill-down by division' instead of 'Page 1'.
4. As of 3.0, the system checks whether
WinWord 6.0 exists on the PC.
5. As of 3.0, you can not only print from
the report portfolio but also from the drill down. First, you can transfer the
current list to WinWord. Second, you can transfer graphics (presentation
graphics and statistics graphics) to WinWord.
The idea of connecting Word to the drill down is not to transfer a combined
screen sequence with several lists or with lists and graphics to Word. This is
still to be done from the report portfolio. When you call the print function,
a dialog box is called with which you can choose different print settings.
