Additional Deadlines

Linking additional shipping deadlines to Shipping or Transportation allows you to accurately plan and monitor delivery and transportation deadlines. You can specify in relevant documents a planned start and end date, with exact times, for a deadline function. Use actual start and end dates, with exact times, to report back the deadline.

You can store additional information on each deadline. This information is defined in Customizing and includes:

reason for deviation

You can document deviations between planned and actual deadlines with a reason for deviation.

points

You can store information on location for each deadline regarding the start or end points of a leg in a route.

The following settings are also relevant to shipping deadlines:

defining a deadline function for which you can enter exact deadline information in the delivery and transportation documents

defining and assigning a network type

maintaining and assigning the profile for each network type
