• For loans given, you have defined a condition table with standard conditions. This ensures that entering standard conditions is fast and error-free when you create a loan.
• You have defined payment details for the business partner in the standing instructions. If you enter a loan that is to be posted to G/L accounts (rather than to a customer account), these payment details are entered as the payment details for the loan.

General loans can have the statuses application, offer and contract. For the most part, the procedure is the same as for mortgage loans. However, the decision-making function is not supported for general loans.

• When you create a loan, you define the business partner in the corresponding role (borrower or lender). When you enter the loan conditions, you can choose the relevant conditions from the condition table. If you create a loan that is not to be posted to a customer account, the system takes the payment details you have defined previously for the business partner in the standing instructions.
• All the functions for managing collateral are also available for general loans. You can enter the contractually agreed collateral from the loan itself, or assign collateral that has already been defined in the system to a loan contract. Object management is not supported for the product category "General loans".
• The accounting and position management functions described under Mortgage Loans are also available for general loans. Loans taken are only posted to G/L accounts. To process the payments for loans not posted to customer accounts, you use the payment program for payment requests.
