In contrast to a Roadmap Type, which offers a completely new structure, the Roadmap flavors represent a subset of a Roadmap Type. Depending on the Roadmap Type you have set, you will have a choice of one or more of the following flavors:
- Standard R/3:
This refers to the implementation of a release of the standard R/3 core system as delivered by SAP, and is contained in the Implementation Roadmap.
- Advanced Planner and Optimizer (APO):
Flavor used for implementing SAP's Supply Chain Planning solution, which offers planning functionality and seamless integration with SAP R/3 and Legacy ERP systems.
- Business-to-Business Procurement:
Flavor used to implement the SAP software handling business scenarios between two companies (for example, between a company and its suppliers).
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
Flavor used to implement the SAP software which supports all "customer-facing" processes throughout the entire customer relationship life cycle from market segmentation, lead generation and opportunities to post-sales and customer service.
- Rollout:
This flavor refers to the Rollout Roadmap in Global ASAP, and is installed if you are carrying out a local implementation project which forms part of a global implementation project in Global ASAP.

The Rollout Roadmap, which represents a modified local or standard ASAP Roadmap, has the goal of setting up a regional/local productive system. In the case of distributed systems, the Rollout Roadmap needs to set up a link to a central production system, in order to, for example, create and maintain master data.
- Workplace:
This flavor is used in conjunction with the mySAP.com Roadmap in order to implement the mySAP.com Workplace. This software refers to an enterprise portal providing users with Web-based access to all applications and business content necessary to get their job done.
You can select the Roadmap flavors to be displayed via the menu Filter ® Roadmap Flavors in the Implementation Assistant. The selected Roadmap flavors appear as "enabled" in the Status bar across the bottom of the IA screen.
By selecting SAP Products item under the Knowledge Corner tab, you can get more information on individual SAP products.

This help file contains information that pertains primarily to the standard Implementation Roadmap. While other Roadmaps function similarly in nature, they may have a different number of phases, etc.
