Interleaving 

Use

Interleaving alleviates dead-heading in radio frequency-managed warehouses. After putaway, the forklift does not return empty to the goods receipt area to repeat its operation. Instead, the forklift operator receives a new assignment (for example, picking) upon returning. The cyclical nature of work assignments provides a continuous workflow for the forklift operator.

Integration

The interleaving function uses the putaway and picking/replenishment function.

Prerequisites

Features

The user exit function allows you to define selection criteria for identifying the next transfer order to be processed for picking/replenishment. For example, you can determine to select a transfer order for picking with a source storage bin that is close to the destination storage bin of the transfer order that was just put away.
