Master Data Enhancement: Maintain Fund and Application of Funds

Description

For Release 3.0, you can maintain different funds for each financial management area. The maintenance of the funds replaces the maintenance of the sponsor. You define funds in Commitment Accounting by choosing Master data -> Fund .

You enter the following information for each fund:

You can use the application of funds to allocate cash resources you receive, for example, for particular projects. You maintain the application of funds in the Commitment Accounting task level menu. Choose Master data -> Fund -> Application of funds.

You first define the application of funds and then proceed to fund maintenance.

The following additional functions are available in fund maintenance:

You can enter a long text for each fund. To do this, from the basic screen for fund maintenance, choose Edit -> Long text.
You can branch to the status management from the basic screen for fund maintenance. To do this, choose Extras -> Status management. For more information, refer to the release note
It is possible to display a change history for each fund. To do this from the basic screen in fund maintenance, choose Extras -> Change history.
You can assign authorizations for accessing certain funds. For more information, read the release note "Authorization Check".
