QM: Changes to the Interface for the Usage Decision Functions

The interface for the usage decision functions has been revised in Release 3.0.

Changes in the screens

In Release 3.0, the information for the usage decision has been divided up among the following three overview screens:

• Characteristic view: characteristic list and usage decision data
  You no longer have to call up the characteristic overview as a dialog box; the overview has been integrated in the usage decision data. You can change the selection of the displayed characteristics using the View button.
  The number of open short and long-term characteristics is displayed in the header area of the characteristic overview.

• Defects view: list of defects and usage decision data
  The overview screen for the defects recorded for the inspection lot has been added as a new screen in Release 3.0.

• Stock view: posted quantities and quantities yet to be posted
  Prior to Release 3.0, this data was displayed in the window for quantity postings.

Pushbuttons can be used to switch between the overview screens.

If defects as well as characteristics exist for an inspection lot, the defects are displayed first after the transaction has been called up.
The overview lists for defects and characteristics are variable lists that are automatically adapted to the size of the screen.

Selection of the usage decision

The procedure for selecting a usage decision code has been improved through the use of a formatted list.
In this list, the codes that are used to reject a lot are highlighted in red, while those that are used to accept a lot are highlighted in green.
Additional information on the usage decision can be displayed from within the list in a dialog box.
