Contract Distribution via Classes

Use

As of Release 4.6C, you can distributes contracts that were created by Central Purchasing purposefully to decentralized purchasing organizations with the help of classification.

You can use the classification to specify that contracts are to be distributed only to the decentralized purchasing organizations that actually uses these contracts, in which these contracts do not exist yet, or to those that are newly added to the distribution model.

You can define the following points in the distribution model:

Prerequisites

You have to create the classes in Customizing for Application Link Enabling (ALE) , assign these classes to the decentralized purchasing organizations and maintain the distribution model.

You have to classify the contracts required during contract processing: Header -> Detail -> Contract -> Classify.

Note

Changes are distributed as before, either using the change pointer or by direct sending.

When directly sending contracts, you can enter the class as a selection criteria so that contracts are only sent to the decentralized purchasing organizations in which they are not yet available.
