SAP ArchiveLink is used to store order records
on external content servers.
In this IMG activity, you assign object types and document types of the order
record to content servers and
link tables.
Object type and document type of the order record are predefined by SAP as follows:
| Object type | Document type | Description | |
|---|---|---|---|
| BUS0001 | PI_AUFTRAG | Print list for process order | |
| BUS0001 | PI_MALI | Print list for material list | |
| BUS0001 | PI_MESG | Print list for process messages | |
| BUS0001 | PI_SHEET | Print list for PI sheet | |
| BUS0001 | PI_PRUEFLOS | Print list for inspection lot | |
| BUS0001 | PI_USER | User-defined print list |
You have made the general settings for SAP
ArchiveLink (see SAP Library, Basis Services ->
BC - SAP ArchiveLink and R/3 Customizing,
Basis Services -> SAP
ArchiveLink).
You have, for example, defined your content servers (see
Maintain Storage Systems).
If more than one archive is connected, the assignment of object types and document types to content servers and link tables should only be carried out after a thorough analysis of the number of documents and the access frequency to archived documents.
