Changes to the Financial Accounting Menus

Description

Changes to Financial Accounting Menus (Accounts receivable menu, Accounts payable menu, General ledger menu, Credit management menu, Bill of exchange management menu and Configuration menu)

The changes made to the FI menus for 3.0A are described below. This note explains only those changes that are not mentioned in any of the release notes specially written for this purpose:

1. Configuration menu

In Release 3.0A, you can access only the Implementation Guides from the cross-application configuration menu. If you still want to work with the menu, access it using the new path described below.

a) Old path (in cross-application configuration menu):
Configuration -> Accounting -> Financial accounting -> Bookkeeping

b) New path (in the Accounts receivable menu, Accounts payable menu, General ledger menu):
Environment -> Configuration

1. Menu for bill of exchange management

a) Old path (in the R/3 initial screen):
Accounting -> Financial accounting -> Bills of exchange management

b) New path:
This menu was deleted. You can find the accounting functions in the FI menus, the financial functions in the Treasury menus.

2. Menu for credit management

a) Old path (in the R/3 initial menu):
Accounting -> Financial accounting -> Credit management

b) New path (in the Accounts receivable menu):
Environment -> Credit management

3. Terms of payment: Default values for payment block reasons

a) Old paths (in the Financial Accounting configuration menu) Bus.transactions -> Accounts receivable -> Terms of payment Bus.transactions -> Accounts payable -> Terms of payment

b) New additional path (in the Financial Accounting configuration menu):
Business volume -> Payments -> Pmnt block reasons -> Pymnt terms.def.vals

4. Validation

a) Old path (in the Financial Accounting configuration menu):
Environment -> Company code -> Validation

b) New path (in the Financial Accouting configuration menu):
Bus.transactions -> Base parameters -> Validation

5. Tax base

a) Old path (in the Financial Accouting configuration menu):
Environment -> Taxes -> Tax base

b) New path (in the Financial Accounting configuration menu):
Environment -> Taxes -> Taxes on sales/purc. -> Tax base
