As of Release 3.0, you can use the action control limits of a control chart to valuate the samples of a characteristic.
A sample is accepted if the determined control variables
do not violate an action control limit. The sample is
rejected if at least one action control limit is violated. Warning
limits marked in the chart are not taken into account.
If no action control limits exist at the time of valuation, valuation is
carried out manually.
If a two-track mean value/s-chart is maintained for the characteristic, a sample is rejected if the mean value or standard deviation of the valid measured values lies outside the corresponding action control limits. If a defect code for rejection is entered in the inspection plan, a quality notification can be created automatically via this defect code.
Valuation may not be possible if the inspection results are incomplete or
if changes have been made to the Customizing settings of the control
charts.
A user with the appropriate authorization can, nevertheless, carry out
forced closure.
A corresponding valuation rule and valuation mode must exist in the Customizing application in order to be able to perform valuation in accordance with the action control limits of a control chart. The Implementation Guide contains more detailed information on valuation rules.
The function module QEBR_CONTROL_LIMITS_VALUATION must be
entered in the valuation rule.
Valuation rule 80 and valuation mode 800 are
included as examples in the standard package from SAP.
