This function calculates the employee’s child allowance benefit.

The calculation of child allowance is integrated through the process "Integration of Dependents" into the payroll.

During Customizing, parameters must be set for the following:

• Limit of absentee days for receiving child allowance from the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) (included in SFABS)
• Dependent’s age limit for child allowance (included in SFAGE)
• Maximum age for receiving child allowance for: male, female, male rural worker, female rural worker (included in SFSOM, SFSOW, SFSRM, SFSRW).
• Maximum age of dependent for submitting the vaccination card (included in SFVAC).
• Table of child allowance amounts
• Adapting the BRFSF feature, used for reading new amounts of the child allowance table, when new data are stored by the user.

The above-mentioned constants can be found in the V_511K view. Their amounts will be used by the BRSFM function, which calculates the child allowance to which the employee is entitled. The main features of this function are:

1. Searching the amounts assigned to the SFABS, SFAGE, SFSOM, SFSOW, SFSRM, SFSRW, and SFVAC constants.
2. Calculating the number of dependents entitled to child allowance based on information stored in infotype 0021.
3. Calculating the amount proportion with regard to each dependent, considering:

The BRFSF feature is used for customizing new amounts of the child allowance table, that is, it determines how the table will be read when new amounts are added by users.
