Maintain Number Ranges for Budgeting

In this IMG activity you define number ranges for change documents in overall planning or budgeting

For every posting within Controlling , the SAP System creates a numbered document. The number ranges are not dependent on the controlling areas. Depending on the order status, the changes to the overall plan values are recorded using change documents. This means they can be identified explicitly in the system.

Note

The number range 03 is provided for order planning. Number range 04 is provided for order budgeting.

Activities

Create one or more intervals.

Create number range 04 if required and stipulate an interval. Make sure that the number intervals do not overlap with other number ranges.

Note on transport

You transport number range objects as follows:

In the initial screen, choose Interval -> Transport.

Note that all intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.

Dependent tables are not transported or converted.

Additional Information

External number allocation is not supported in overall planning and budgeting.

For more information see the R/3 Libary under "CO - Internal Orders" in section "Status management").
