loading group

Definition

A grouping of materials that share the same loading requirements.

Use

The system uses the loading group as well as the

• Shipping conditions and

• Delivering plant

to automatically determine the shipping point for the item.

Example

Different loading groups could consist, for example, of materials that require the same:

• Equipment during loading (for example, a fork-lift truck)

• Amount of time for loading

• Loading point (for example, loading bay #6)
