Define Career Groups
In this step of the IMG, you define
career groups for every pay scale type you use.
In a later IMG step, you can assign these career groups to pay scale groups.
Example
You have defined a pay scale type called Salary Regulations A in the system.
However, there are a range of career groups that apply in these salary regulations: junior civil servants, regular civil servants, senior civil servants and executive civil servants.
To map this in the system, you assign these career groups to the pay scale type Salary Regulations A as follows:

To assign career groups to a pay scale type, proceed as follows:
1. Select a
country grouping in the Work Area dialog
box.
2. Choose
New entries.
3. In the
Type field, enter the pay scale
type to which you want to assign career groups.
4. In the
C field, enter a numeric value for
every career group. In the Career name field, enter
a long text for this numeric value.
5. Choose
Save.
