If you do not want the hierarchy of an investment program to go beyond the enterprise organization, you can structure the investment program completely within the framework of the enterprise organization. This is the case, for example, if you generated your enterprise organization from the cost center hierarchy, and each cost center is assigned to one program position.

If you want the hierarchy of the investment program to be sub-divided further than the enterprise structure, then it is not necessary to create new nodes in the enterprise organization (eo-nodes) just for this purpose.

Instead, you can sub-divide the investment program further in structure maintenance by creating additional program positions below the program positions that are assigned to eo-nodes.

Structure of Investment Program beyond the Enterprise Organization

You should keep in mind the following properties of program positions that are assigned to enterprise organization nodes:

When you generate the enterprise hierarchy again, the system retains the connection between parent positions and their subordinate positions that were created in structure maintenance , as long as the subordinate positions are not assigned to an enterprise organization node.

If you reassign a program position in structure maintenance only, the reassignment is cancelled the next time the generation run takes place for the enterprise organization.

If you have organizational units, which were inherited by the program positions from enterprise organization nodes, and you change them in structure maintenance, these changes are automatically overwritten the next time the generation run takes place for the enterprise organization.

If you delete parent positions or enterprise organization nodes, the assigned program positions become top positions. The connection to the subordinate program positions still remains.
