Change system parameters in customizing
- The program WSWINSRV that is used for communication between Windows
Wordprocessor Integration (WWI) and the R/3 System has been replaced. Customizing in the section
WWI Installation has
thus been reduced.
- In order to use the latest version of WWI in EH&S 2.2B, you must carry out the new IMG activity
Set up RFC destination
in the WWI Installation section of the IMG.
- If you use one R/3 System for the R/3 component Logistics and another R/3 System for the R/3 component
Product Safety (Environment Data), you must enter the name of the RFC destination
that you created for the link between the two R/3 Systems for the environment parameter DEST_SRE_DS in the IMG activity
Specify environment parameters.
Note: You maintain the RFC destination from the R/3 main menu. Choose
Tools -> Administration -> Administration network -> RFC destinations (transaction SM59).
Changes in procedure
- In WWI, the dialogs for inserting and editing symbols, phrases,
repeating groups and blank compressions have been modified. A Wizard enables you to generate
- Symbols in tables with 3 columns
- Symbols from a substance characteristic category in list of table form.
- You can define an expansion mask for numerical values thus allowing you to suppress dimensions.
- If Windows Wordprocessor Integration (WWI) is locked, you can reset the lock by choosing 'Utilities -> Reset frontend
' in the report template hit list. WWI can be locked if, for example, you were editing
a report template and Word was cancelled in the process.
Further notes
If you created the symbol for the long text of an identifier on a
report template and the long text is not available in the R/3 System,
the short text of the identifier is output after the report is generated.
You will find further information about the new and the changed procedures in WWI in the documentation for the R/3 component
Product Safety (Environment Data).
