In this step, check the correct assignment of cost elements to the value categories.
When you call up the report, specify the controlling area for which the consistency check should be performed.
After the consistency check has been performed, the system issues a list which contains information about the assignment of the value categories for each controlling area.
The traffic lights at the end of a node are used for a targeted error search:
Green light: There are no incorrect assignments
within this hierarchy
level.
Yellow light: There are cost elements which
have not been assigned,
or the cost element, on which the calue category appears,
does not exist in the system.
A value category contains cost elements with
non-convertable units of measurement.
Red light: There are serious errors in the
assignment.
For example, a cost element has been assigned to several
value categories, or cost elements with a deviating
debit category (costs/revenues) were assigned to a
category.
The status of the traffic light is transmitted to the hierarchy above.
In addition, the cost elements are represented by different colors, according to their category.
The following cost element categories are
differentiated by color:
Costs and payments on the credit side
Revenues and payments on the debit side
Undefined
For correct assignments, only cost elements of the same category should exist for each value category. In addition, the category of value category must match the category for the cost elements.
You can branch directly from the log into the maintenance of cost elements. To do this, choose the icon Display or Change.
The changes are displayed directly in the log after you have chosen the icon Refresh.
If you change value categories subsequently, you have to restructure the files PMCO and PMCOQT. For restructuring, you use the program RIPMCO00.
It is then also possible to change the value categories if records have already been stored in the files.
In addition, you must restructure the information structures in the Plant Maintenance Information System if you update key figures for costs and quantities based on value categories.
You can restructure the information structures using the report 'RIPMS001'.
