Generation of absence quotas

Use

You can use this report to accrue time off entitlements automatically for groups of employees or individual employees. They are then saved as records of the Absence Quotas infotype (2006).

The report generates the time off entitlements for a generation interval that you can define. The generation interval determines the validity period of the absence quota record you create. You can use three procedures for determining the validity period:

You enter the start and end date in the Other period field in the report selection screen.

You only specify the start date. The start date serves as a key date for determining the actual validity interval according to the Customizing table Validity Period: Absence Quotas (T559V).

You do not enter a start or end date. The system date serves as the key date for determining the actual validity interval according to the Customizing table Validity Period: Absence Quotas (T559V).
If the specified generation or validity period falls entirely within the validity period of an existing infotype record, a new infotype record is created.
If, however, the validity period of an existing record falls entirely within the validity period of a newly generated record, both records are compensated. You must have activated the Compensation of existing quota entitlements in Customizing, under Define generation rules for quota selection .

If you specify Additional selections in the report selection screen, you can use the Person selection period to define a key date or period for which time off entitlements are generated for all employees assigned to one cost center, for example.

One of the following procedures is used to supply the Absence Quotas infotype (2006):

A background processing job is generated during the program run and can be run at a later time

The new or changed infotype is updated directly

Run in the test mode. You can use the output list to control the result before the actual data transfer.
