Defining Budget Structure Element Types

In this section of the IMG, you define attributes for budget structure element types.

Budget structure element types types define the attributes of budget structure elements of a particular type (e.g. name, unit of measure, whether it is a monetary or FTE budget).

Budget types are used for two purposes. First, to assign budget structure elements a name, a unit of measure, and to specify how the budget is classified. Second, to specify whether a budget can be allocated, or is regarded merely as a summarization unit.

You also specify for budget structure element types which types of budgeting rules, reclassification rules and budget updates are allowed.
