Flexible Analyses

In this section, you can make settings for special parameters in the flexible analyses.

Flexible analyses enable you to represent characteristics in self-defined, multi-level hierarchies and cumulate the corresponding key figures. It is also possible to combine key figures from different information structures.

Furthermore, in the flexible analyses you can easily create Report Writer reports for displaying data. This gives you the option of varying the layouts for these reports.

The evaluation structures form the interface to Report Writer. Evaluation structures are made up of characteristics and key figures.

You can use evaluation structures to help you when you define your own evaluations . To do this, you can use the pick-up technique to choose the characteristics and key figures that you require.

Note

An evaluation structure exists for each respective information structurein the standard SAP R/3 system. The information structure and its corresponding evaluation structure always have the same name.

Every time you define your own information structure, a corresponding evaluation structure is generated accordingly.

Due to the fact that an evaluation structure of the same name is made available for each information structure, it is very easy to evaluate the information structures using the flexible analyses.
