ADP interface enhancements

This note is only relevant to users of the ADP payroll interface.

Implementation Guide

Significant enhancements have been made to the ADP interface since 3.0D. Please review the payroll IMG steps under the section ADP configuration and ensure your installation has completed all of the steps included with release 30E. Among the changes are the addition of data to maintain, PU12 maintenance, and the removal of the step requiring reciprocity set up. This is now managed by ADP and does not have to be maintained by the user.

Interface format/file layout enhancements:

Also, please check the interface formats and file layouts for changes made to PCEX and EPIP in PU12 and incorporate them into your copies of these formats/files.

The type of changes to look for in the interface format include:

• the addition of new structures and field conversions,

The type of changes to look for in the file layout include:

• the position of blocks, repetition within blocks, changes in 'content' for fields and changes in the name of forms for the 'user exit'.

Further notes

If you had applied the '3.0D ADP interface supplement' note to your system before beginning your implementation, you do NOT have to perform the 'Interface format/file layout enhancements' portion of this release note.
