Shipment: Archiving
Description
In Release 3.0E, it is possible to archive shipments.
You can archive header data and item data, sections and section assignment, shipment document flow, shipping unit headers that were created in the shipment, shipping unit items, output, and texts and addresses created manually in the shipment.
When archiving shipments, only one archivability indicator is set for both dates belonging to a shipment. You can then archives the dates separately afterwards. Do not archive master data or movement data stored before or after the shipment. There are separate archiving objects for this purpose.

Change system parameters in customizing
Make the following settings in Customizing to control shipment archiving.
For the transportation planning point and the shipment type, define:
- the residence time of the shipment since its creation
- the residence time of the shipment since the last change
- the overall status of the shipment which must at least be reached
A shipment can only be archived when these criteria have been met.
