Sales: Copying items from product selection

Description

As of Release 3.0E, you can control whether the results of product selection are to be copied for items on which an automatic product selection is carried out.

The control occurs at main item level and can be set in copying control for "Sales document to sales document" in the option PRODUKTSELEKTION KOP.

If you do not choose this option, the system will refer to the previous logic and the product selection will be carried out again in the copied document.

The following options have been designed for PRODUKTSELEKTION KOP:

Product selection is carried out again in the copied document. You should choose this setting if you copy a standard order to a standard order, for example.
Product selection is adopted at the time of copying. If, for example, you require a further availability check or a change to the requested delivery quantity in the copied document, the system will carry out product selection again. You should choose this setting when copying a quotation to a standard order, for example.
The outcome of the product selection is adopted in the copied document. Product selection cannot be carried out again for this document. You should choose this setting when creating returns for a standard order, for example.

When using alternative 'A' or 'B', you must make sure that the copying rules for the subitems are stored in Customizing. If this is not the case, only the main item is copied. For the alternative '-', these settings are unnecessary as the subitems are not copied. The system ignores them even if they still exist.
