New rule for business area determination

Description

As of Release 3.0E, the division of the sales document item can be taken into account in addition to the division of the sales document when determining the business area using the distribution channel.

The new rule '003' ('business area determination from sales organization/distribution channel item division') has been defined for the business area determination to account for this.

Rule '003' is used as follows:

1. Sales order
a) Delivering plant and sales organization belong to one company code
b) Delivering plant and sales organization belong to different company codes
2. Delivery/goods issue
The business area is taken from the sales order.
3. Billing document
a) Delivering plant and sales organization belong to one company code
b) Delivering plant and sales organization belong to different company codes
-> The rule is determined using the selling sales area.
-> The sales area is read from the selling sales organization/distribution channel and item division. If the combination is defined, then the business area is determined from this sales area. If this combination is not defined, then the business area is determined using rule '002'.
-> The rule is determined with the delivering sales area.
-> The sales area is read from the intercompany billing sales organization/distribution channel and item division. If this combination is defined, then the business area is determined from this sales area. If this combination is not allowed, then the business area is determined using rule '002'.

Change system parameters in customizing
