Master Recipe: New Functions in Release 3.0E

Description

As of Release 3.0E, the following new functions are available for master recipes:

Reallocating phases within the master recipe

You can reallocate a phase within the master recipe, that is, you can allocate it to a different operation. The resource of this phase is replaced with the resource of the new superior operation. All other phase data and allocations such as the relationships, material components, and process instructions remain the same.

In the operation overview, you can access the function Reallocate phase via the menu Edit . Please note that the system reallocates the phase on which you have positioned the cursor and not the selected phase.
Having reallocated a phase, you should press ENTER to trigger the operation data check. The system then prompts you, for example, to maintain the standard values marked as required in the new resource.

Note:
In the operation overview, phases are sorted according to their number and not according to the operations they belong to. For reasons of clarity, you should therefore assign a number to the phase that fits the new operations after you have reallocated the phase.

Checking PI sheets in the master recipe

The syntax check for process instructions that has been available in the process order since Release 3.0D is now also available in the master recipe. You can use this function to check the structure of process instructions of type 1, "Transfer control recipe to R/3 PI sheet".

The system checks whether

You can start a syntax check from within the master recipe by choosing the menu options Extras -> Check PI sheet .
The following table lists the recipe screens on which you can trigger this function and the process instructions that are checked.

Screen Checks:
Operation Overview Process instructions of all selected
phases, or
all process instructions for a control
recipe destination (selected after
function was started)
Process Instruction Overview All selected process instructions
Characteristic Overview Selected process instruction

After the check has been completed, the system branches to the check log. The log lists all errors found. For detailed information on the errors as well as on possible solutions, display the long text for the individual log entries.
The log is stored until you trigger a new syntax check or exit the master recipe.

Simulating the PI sheet

You can now also access the PI sheet simulation from the characteristic overview for a process instruction (menu Extras). The system only simulates the selected process instruction in the PI sheet.

Mass replacement and where-used list: extended log

You can display resources and process instruction categories in master recipes that have logically been deleted but are still stored on the database.
For example, you need this extended log if you want to delete resources used in deleted recipes. As long as these recipes still exist on the database, you cannot delete the resources allocated to them either.

To create the extended log, you must set the indicator Extended log on the initial screen for mass replacement or where-used lists.
Once the selection result is displayed, you can call the log choosing the menu options Goto -> Log.

Mass replacement and where-used list: selecting the master recipes
of a plant or a planner group

You can restrict the selection result for the where-used list or for mass replacement of resources and process instruction categories to the master recipes of one plant.
To do so, maintain the plant in the Master recipe section of the initial screen.

Using a planner group, you can restrict the selection even further. Note that you cannot enter a planner group without having specified a plant.

Mass replacement of resources: default values for the new resource

Until now, it has not been possible to specify default values for the new resource when carrying out mass replacement for resources. This function is now available in Release 3.0E. Choose the menu options Settings -> Default values on the initial mass replacement screen.
