Master Recipe: Changes in Release 3.0E

Description

In Release 3.0E, the following changes have been made with respect to master recipes:

Enhanced value check and possible entries function (F4) for characteristics

In the master recipe, the value check and possible entries function for process instruction categories takes the following settings into account:

• single values, check tables, and check functions maintained for the characteristic on the screen Allowed Values (before, only single values were checked)

• dependencies of other characteristic values (such as the material a batch is assigned to) which have been specified in the characteristic definition using a matchcode object as well as foreign key (see the dialog box for process management which can be called from the Basic Data screen of a characteristic)

Characteristic values are checked in the master recipe whenever you execute a function that causes you to exit the characteristic overview of a process instruction (for example, Back , Save). Due to this change, the system might display error messages for existing data during master recipe maintenance. These messages refer to errors that already existed before but were only detected when the characteristic values were checked in the process order.
