QM: Enhancements in the Usage Decision Functionality
for Release 3.0E
Description
In Release 3.0E, you can use the following enhancements in the usage
decision functionality:
- Log texts for the usage decision
As of Release 3.0E, the log texts for the
transfer of inspection results to the batch classification are included in the
general log for the usage decision. The log texts for the stock postings and
follow-up actions are also contained in this general log.
With the help of user exit QEVA0007, you can
predocument the long text for the usage decision and control whether or not
the long text editor will be displayed. You can also use this user exit to
enable or suppress the 'mandatory comment' requirement when you make the usage
decision.
The return posting to a vendor has been
enhanced; the function is now referred to as a 'Return delivery
(general)'.
In the past, return deliveries could only be carried out for goods receipt
lots referenced to a purchase order (origin 01). Now, with the capability of
being able to select an appropriate purchase order, you can carry out a return
delivery for inspection lots with origins 05 (misc. goods receipts) and 08
(stock transfer). You can also process a return delivery with reference to a
production order for lots with origin 04 (goods receipt from
production).
- User guidance when transferring inspection results to the batch
classification
When you make the usage decision, the system now
explicitly identifies the characteristics whose inspection results are not
within the batch specifications.
- User exit for revoking the usage decision
User exit QEVA0008 allows you to revoke (reset)
the usage decision, because in some cases it may be necessary to change the
inspection results after you make the usage decision.
A sample coding is contained in the user exit.
- New functions for stock transfers in the usage
decision
When you make a stock transfer within the usage
decision functionality, you can now create new batches.
If the batch status management function is active, you can also define the new
batch status.
