Capacity planning: Changed capacity availability
check
Description
In the capacity availability check, the system checks when the order is
released, whether sufficient capacity is available at the work center at the
given date.
For a capacity check, you have the following options:
You find this check in the order under
Order -> Functions ->
Availability ->
Capacity.
From Release 3.0E it is possible to perform the
capacity availability check automatically when the order is
released. To do this, reset the indicator No check
in Customizing for maintenance orders in the step Parameters for
availability check.
For the capacity availability check in
maintenance orders, the overall profile SAPSFCG013 is used. In
the period profile,
week is preset as the
period split.
If an order cannot be performed due to
insufficient capacity, the operation dates for the order can be redetermined
within the framework of capacity scheduling. The capacity requirement of other
orders or operations at a work center within a planning period (basic load) is
taken account of in the capacity availability check.
Before you check orders for capacity
availability, you should determine the available basic load. To do this, run
the report RCCYLOAD to initialize the basic load:
Create basic load
Further concept information on the capacity
availability check and on determining the basic load may be found in the
document PP Capacity Planning.
