Up to R/3 Release 3.0D material staging for the PP-SFC system interface to the WM system was executed only in the base unit of measure.
As of Release 3.0E it is possible to request material staging of pick parts and release order parts for production in a particular unit of measure.
You can select the units of measure when you call up material staging. When the transfer requirements for production supply are created in the WM system via the menu path Transfer requirement -> Create -> Production supply or in the PP system via the path Environment -> WM material staging, you can select the units of measure for display in the material staging list.
On the screen for the material staging overview, select Edit -> Unit of measure or the radio button "Unit of measure" in the application toolbar. The system then displays a dialog box in which you can enter the required unit of measure. As soon as you have selected one of the options, the quantity fields of the material staging list are displayed in the requested unit of measure. The transfer requirements created from the material staging list are also generated in the selected unit of measure.
The selected unit of measure is kept in the parameter ID "LMB" so that the next time material staging is called up the unit of measure selected previously is proposed automatically.
To set a system default for the unit of measure for use during material staging, select Tools -> Administration -> User maintenance -> User -> Goto -> Parameters and enter one of the following parameter values for the parameter ID "LMB":
For crate parts you can enter the container quantity in any one unit of measure when you define the control cycle. The unit of measure defined in the control cycle is used when you call up material staging for crate parts.
