Material Master: Changes in Maintenance
Description
Material Memo
In the material master record, you can store a new type of text - the material memo. You can access the material memo from the MRP screen. By clicking the pushbutton of the same name, you access another screen on which you can enter a text on the material in SAPscript, SAP's word processing system.
The material memo is, for example, used in the stock/requirements list,
from where you can call it up.
Proposing the Unit of Weight from Customizing
In Customizing for the Material Master, you can now set a unit of weight that is proposed when creating materials from the Sales view.
If no material group is assigned to the material, or if a material group is
assigned for which no unit of weight has been specified in Customizing, the SI
unit (système internationale des unités) for the dimension MASS (normally kg)
is proposed.
Screen Sequence for Small Screens
You now have the new screen sequence 11 that has been designed so that only 21 lines max. are occupied on each material master screen. The screens in standard screen sequence 01 have essentially been split.
As before, the standard SAP R/3 System comes with screen sequence 01
preset. If you want to make the new sequence available (either for all users
or specific users) instead, you must access the step Configure
customized material master in Customizing for the Material
Master and make the following changes using the function
