Repetitive mfg: Classification of the Production Cost Collectors

Starting with release 3.0E you can classify the production cost collectors in repetitive manufacturing. This means that certain characteristic values (material number, plant, etc.) are updated in the production cost collector.

To display the characteristic values in the production cost collector, call up the production cost collector and choose Edit -> Classification.

Classification is activated through the order type of the production cost collector, and allows you to:

• select all production cost collectors for which a certain characteristic value has been set (such as the material number or product group), and display certain key figures (such as target costs or actual costs) and reports on those production cost collectors

• use dill-downs to display key figures for each plant, product group, material, or production cost collector in the form of ranking lists, exceptions, etc.

• create hierarchies that summarize the values on the production cost collectors level by level by characteristic values

Change system parameters in customizing

This functionality is similar to order selection and summarization in order-related production and process manufacturing.

If you want to use the functions for the first time, you must carry out the following:

• Select and generate characteristics

• Define user-defined characteristics

• Define selection profiles

• Define selection screens for order list

• Create order hierarchies

• Define exception rules

If you want to use product drill-downs for the first time, you must carry out the following:

• Generate characteristics for product drill-down reporting

• Define key figures

• Define forms

• Define reports
