Costing for Configurable Materials
Description
As of release 3.0, you can calculate the production costs for a variant of a configuration material when you do a configuration simulation.
To call this function, choose Logistics -> Central functions -> Variant configuration -> Environment -> Configuration -> Simulation. On the characteristic value assignment screen, choose Environment ->Costing.
Using a costing variant, the system determines and valuates the quantity structure (for example, BOM and routing) to be costed. You can use a calculation variant that is defined for costing saled orders.
However, this function only simulates costing. No costs are saved.
