Classification: New and Changed Functions

Description

Report RCCLAPRE

This report is especially relevant to customers that classify orders, projects, or batches. Reference characteristics for these objects are stored redundantly. In other words, the values are stored not only in the master data table (for example, MCHA for batches), but also in the classification system.

Some reference characteristics have conversion routines for numeric entries.

Example:
If you enter '1' in the Customer fields, your entry is converted to internal value '00000001'.

Previously, the value entered by the user was stored in classification table AUSP. Now, however, the internal value must be saved. Report RCCLAPRE corrects this.

Report RCCLAUSP

This report is used to delete assigned value records from classification table AUSP with ATCOD 0. These are initial assigned value records from released 1.2 and 2.1, which are no longer required in release 3.0.

Graphical class hierarchy maintenance

You can display a class hierarchy in graphical form using the function Environment -> Reporting -> Class hierarchy. You can also use this function instead of the allocation functions in the classification menu to set up or change a class hierarchy.
