These settings may now be found in the area
General logistics under the term
engineering change management.
Existing settings are not affected by this
change. This means that no maintenance of existing entries is
required.
Change system parameters in customizing

necessary, check the settings for engineering change
management.
New setting "Printing from dialog programs"
Printing
shop papers in Plant Maintenance is usually initiated from the
update program. In order that you can use the user-friendly dialog program
analysis options to make changes to print programs, you can start print
programs from the dialog transactions.
To ensure consistency between the printed papers
and the data in your system, you must initiate printing from the update
program in the production system.

Check that printing is called from the update program.
New setting "Order assignment to allocation groups".
For the settlement of
maintenance and
service orders , you can define
allocation groups in Customizing for Controlling.
Allocation groups allow you to form groups of
orders for collective order settlement.
Note:
If you want to settle more than 100,000 orders
together, you must form allocation groups for performance
reasons, since the settlement of more than 100,000 orders can cause
performance problems.
If you only have a small number of active orders
in the system and only settle a few orders per settlement run (up to approx.
10,000), you do not need to form allocation groups.
However, you can always use the allocation group
as organizational evaluation criteria.
