Entering Controlled Objects

Procedure

You are in a configuration folder.

Select the tab page ConfFolder (Configuration folder).

Select a value from the field Type of controlled object.

If the object that you want to enter as a controlled object (such as material master record), has not yet been created in the SAP System, you can provisionally enter a dummy instead. For more information, see Dummy for controlled objects.

In the group box Controlled object enter the number of the controlled object and save.

Result

The controlled object is displayed in the header of the configuration folder structure.

If the field Type of controlled object is empty, you can enter a description in the group box controlled object for information purposes However, this has no operative meaning. The system rejects the description as soon as a type for the controlled object is selected.
