Changes in the tables
Description
In Release 3.0, all the transaction data in Profit Center Accounting is stored in transparent tables.
Table GLPCT contains the summary records, Table GLPCA the actual line items, and Table GLPCP the plan line items.
The following fields have been added to the table key:
- Field RHOART: Origin object type, to distinguish the objects to which the data was originally posted (cost center, internal order, project, production order, and so on).
- Field HRKFT: Origin group, to classify material consumption (the origin group is stored in the material master)
- Field ACTIV: Business activity, as a subelement of the business transaction
- Field AFABE: Depreciation area, to transfer the asset portfolios
- Field VERSA: Results analysis version, to transfer the stocks of work in process
The data you posted before Release 3.0 ist still found in the old tables (GLTPC for the summary records, GLSPC for actual line items and GLPPC for plan line items). You need to convert this data for the new tables before you can use it for reporting, planning, allocation, and so on. Installation Information
When the system converts various control information, user-defined reports, historic transaction data and profit center groups, it can only handle the standard SAP settings.
If you have changed Table GLTPC prior to Release 3.0, you need to pay special attention to the information contained in the release note Changes in Customizing!
Changes in Procedure
The new tables do not affect the way you work
in Profit Center Accounting on a daily basis. However, if you create Report
Writer reports or sets manually, note that these must belong to Table GLPCT.
The old reports and sets which were created for Table GLTPC need to be
converted after you have upgraded your system to Release 3.0. This procedure
is described in your Customizing project under the heading 
Convert reports and groups.
