Recovery

Use

Using the Recovery function, you can resume the last activity whenever the RF connection between the RF device and the SAP System is interrupted, without losing data. Operations saved by the user are updated immediately in the system database. If there is a link failure, the system automatically proposes processing at that point where the user last saved data.

Prerequisites

The recovery function is based upon the two-step confirmation procedure for transfer orders. If there is a link failure after the confirmation of a material pick in the first confirmation step, the system will continue with the transfer step when the user logs on to the system again.

To set two-step confirmation in Customizing for a warehouse movement, the respective confirmation indicators (source and destination storage type) must be set.

Features

If there is a link failure after the first step (the pick step), the data saved last is retrieved again by the system: With Save in the first step, you select a particular transfer order item. After failure and renewed logon under the same user name, the system automatically displays the destination data screen.

A different user can continue processing a transfer order that could not be finished due to the link failure if "Selected by TO" is selected. A warning message informs the user that the TO is being processed by another user.

If only certain items were saved during the pick step, you can confirm the second step (the transfer step) for the respective items and continue processing for the other items.
