Load/ Unload: Selected by Shipment

Use

You can load a means of transport with all the handling units assigned to the shipment, if you know the shipment number.

Procedure

For the unload process: Choose Inbound Process ® Unload ® Unload by Shipment.

For the load process: Choose Outbound Process ® Load ® Load by Shipment.

Enter the shipment number.

You also access this transaction if you choose load/unload on the delivery header screen. In this case, the shipment number is entered automatically.

Enter or scan the handling unit assigned to this shipment.

Verify your entries by choosing F4 Next.

You receive information on this shipment, such as the delivery, the staging area, and the dock. Regarding the handling units, information on the number of (un)loaded handling units, the total number of handling units, the weight of each handling unit and the total weight will be provided.

With F1 Save, the handling unit that you entered is (un)loaded and the system updates the data on the number of handling units already (un)loaded and their weight. The status of the shipment and delivery changes accordingly.

Alternatively, you can first enter a handling unit, instead of the shipment number. Afterwards, the system assigns this handling unit to the respective shipment. Then proceed as described above.

Additional Functions

Load: Detailed Information on the Shipment, Delivery or Handling Unit

With F5 Detail, you call up the load inquiry by shipment, the load inquiry by delivery, or the load inquiry by handling unit depending on the field from which you are retrieving the detailed information.

Print Shipping Label

With F6 Print, you can print a shipping label for the shipment if you have created your own user exit. For more information about printing labels, see Printing Using the User Exit.

Unload a Recently Loaded HU or Load a Recently Unloaded HU

With F9 Undo, you can unload a handling unit that you have just loaded and load a handling unit that you have just unloaded. Now the number and weight of the handling unit are reduced.

The start and end date/time of the load/unload process do not change if you use this option.
