RF Activity Control Using the RF Monitor

Use

Each Radio Frequency (RF) user is assigned to a queue in Customizing for Mobile Data Entry under RF Queue Management. This assignment can be changed at a central place using the RF monitor, for example, by the warehouse manager, or the user can change this assignment at the RF terminal, provided he or she has the authorization to do so.

The user's view at the RF terminal is limited to the transfer orders (TOs) of his/her current queue. To ensure that TO processing by RF users is run as efficiently as possible, a central coordination point is required. This is possible with the help of the RF monitor.

The monitor is used for assigning the TOs created in the warehouse to queues. This assignment takes place according to the shipment type and the source/destination data of the TO. Also, you can use the monitor to supervise the workload and the work capacity of queues.

Features

The following options are available:

If you want to forward TOs from the queue Q-Source to the queue Q-Destination, move Q-Source beneath Q-Destination. Users assigned to Q-Destination can then process TOs assigned to Q-Source even though the access to Q-Source is limited.

This setting overrides the setting in the access field of the respective queue.
