1. Information system: Report selection, plan and actual line item reports and summary records

With authorization object K_PCAR_REP you can protect company codes, profit centers and cost elements in the EC-PCA Information system.
An ALL authorization for this object is contained in the profile SAP_NEW_30.

These functions are also protected by the object G_GLTP. This object contains the fields "Ledger", "Record type" and "Version".

2. Profit center master data

Previously the profit center master data was protected solely by the authorization object K_PCAS_PRC (fields "Activity" and "Controlling area".
In addition to this, you can now protect the maintenance of individual profit centers by setting the fields "Profit center" and "Activity" accordingly in the object K_PCAR_REP (01, 02 and 03). The fields "Company code" and "Cost element" are not required to protect profit centers.

3. Conversion program 2.x -> 3.0 under the "Tools" option in EC-PCA Customizing.

a) Conversion of user-defined reports

With authorization object K_PCAR_SRP you can protect the conversion of user-defined reports.

b) Conversion of line items (Summary records, actual line items and plan line items).

With authorization object K_PCAS_PRC you can protect the conversion of line items.

4. Data transfer from FI, MM and SD

a) With authorization object K_PCAF_UEB (field "Company code") you can protect the function for transferring actual data from FI.

b) With authorization object K_PCAM_UEB (field "Activity" = 90) you can protect the function for transferring actual data from MM.

c) With authorization object K_PCAS_UEB (field "Activity" = 90) you can protect the function for transferring SD billing documents.

5. The option "Settings" under "Tools" in Customizing

a) Analyze and update:

With authorization object K_PCAL_GEN you can protect the functions "Analyze" and "Update" for the settings in Profit Center Accounting.

6. Information system

a) Generate and import reports

With authorization object K_PCAR_SRP you can protect the functions for generating and importing reports.

7. Maintaining substitutions

In Release 3.0, the menu option "Subst. sales order" and the functions for maintaining substitutions were added.
To authorize users to maintain substitutions, the profile G_SUBST_ALL has been added to the composite profile K_PCA_ALL for Profit Center Accounting.
