Travel Manager: Function Enhancements in Initial Screen

Use

Since Release 4.6A, the Travel manager has been available, in Travel Management. It is a simple and intuitive tool with which even the occasional user can easily carry out all tasks involved in processing of business trips. With the Travel manager you can process all travel requests, plans and expense reports using the same interface.

In the current release substantial function enhancements to the intitial screen of the Travel managers have been added:

List of open trips

In the initial screen the user sees at a glance all of his/her current trips that still require processing in the list of open trips. For each trip listed, the general trip data is displayed and the possible subsequent activities, which can be started directly via links.

The specification of subsequent activities for each trip facilitates further processing considerably.

Possible subsequent activities are the changing of existing travel requests, plans or expense reports and the creation of the respective subsequent objects:

Travel request -> subsequent object: travel plan

Travel request -> subsequent object: travel expense report, if no plan is necessary

Travel plan -> subsequent object: travel expense report

The user can specify in his/her personal settings whether he wants all possible subsequent activities or only a logical set of activities to be displayed per travel object.

When a subsequent object is created, the data of the existing object is automatically copied.

If a trip is not processed within a specified time period, the relevant travel request, plan or expense report is marked with an Alert indicator as a warning.

These warnings are to remind the employee of urgent activities. An alert indicator is set, for example, if a travel request or travel plan needs to be completed within the next two weeks or if a travel expense report has not been yet been done four weeks after the trip was taken.

Individual adaptations: Enterprise-specific links to documents and graphics

Using individually adaptable links, you can, for example, offer the users of the Travel manager important information in connection with trips and enterprise-internal rules. You can store documents and graphics of any format as URLs and thus provide information on topics such as the following:
