The general data screen for the inspection method appears.

In the screen area Administrative data, the validity of the inspection method, creator, creation date, and, if available, the person who makes the changes and the change date are displayed.

If you changed an inspection method that is referenced in an inspection plan and you make the changes without history, the changes are also included in the inspection plan, since the system does not create a new inspection method version in this process.
However, if you change the method with history, the system creates a new version with the same validity period. In this case, the changes are not included in the inspection plan, because it still uses the previous version of the inspection method.
You can make settings in
Customizing at client level, to trigger the replacement function automatically, when an inspection method is saved.
