Define currency for maintenance statistics

In this work step, you can determine in which currency the statistical data of plant maintenance is managed.

When you determine the currency for the maintenance statistics, you have to keep the following in mind:

The date from which the exchange rate is calculated is determined by the system from certain fields and cannot be changed.
The acquisition date of a piece of equipment, for example, is taken as the basis for the conversion of the acquisition value.
The posting date of the individual order documents is taken as a basis for the conversion of the value fields of a maintenance order.

Note

You can still change the statistics currency even if data was already saved in the statistics file.

This is only necessary, if statistical data already exists and the statistics currency was changed.

Information on the Set up of statistical data in the Plant Maintenance Information System can also be found in this Implementation Guide.

Recommendation

You should always determine a statistics currency.

If you are working without a statistics currency, all value fields of the Plant Maintenance System will be stored in the original currency of the document or of the master record.

This results in different currencies also being stored in the statistics file.

Evaluations of the currency fields from the statistics file are no longer expressive, as no further currency conversion is made for evaluations and therefore value fields with different currencies are added.
