Cash Position 

Purpose

The cash position provides information on the current financial state of the bank accounts. It is the starting point for cash concentration in which the balances from various bank accounts are concentrated in one target account, taking minimum balances and payment optimization into consideration.

Process Flow

The cash position provides information, by value date, on the short term liquidity situation in bank accounts. It usually covers a period of zero to five days. This overview covers the cash management-relevant G/L accounts, particularly bank accounts and bank clearing accounts. It includes actual FI postings, along with manual planning options (payment advices) and Treasury transactions. In summary, the cash position records the most important transactions affecting the short-term liquidity of your business.
